Resistencias Industriales Maxiwatt S.L. was founded in 1960 by José Rodríguez Esquitino in Elche (Alicante). What began as a craft manufacturing project for heating elements was consolidated, generation after generation, into a benchmark company in the European industrial heating sector. Today, under the management of José Rodríguez Ródenas, son of the founder, Maxiwatt has over 100 employees and operates from the Elche Business Park, maintaining the same philosophy of quality and personalised service that defined its origins over six decades ago.
Maxiwatt's facilities are located at the Elche Business Park, C/ Marie Curie 31, in the industrial heart of the province of Alicante. The entire manufacturing cycle is managed from this plant: from design and material cutting to final quality control and dispatch. Proximity to the main logistics corridors of the Valencian Community allows us to offer urgent delivery times of 24 and 48 hours across Europe for standard orders and fully custom-made cartridge heaters.
Maxiwatt exports cartridge heaters to more than 28 countries. The company operates dedicated websites in Spanish (resistencias.com), German (heizpatronen.info), French (cartouches-chauffantes.com) and English (cartridge-heater-manufacturer.co.uk), with customer service teams in all these languages. This international presence reflects the trust of European industrial sectors — plastics machinery manufacturers, tooling, food processing and process equipment — in the reliability and precision of Maxiwatt products.
Every Maxiwatt cartridge heater is manufactured using 321 stainless steel tubing, a high thermal resistance material particularly suited to continuous heating and cooling cycles. The heating core, made from high-purity resistance wire, is precisely positioned inside the tube and filled with high-purity magnesium oxide (MgO), which acts simultaneously as an electrical insulator and thermal conductor. The assembly undergoes a controlled compaction process that ensures uniform fill density and eliminates air pockets that could degrade the heating element during operation.
Each production batch is subject to the following controls before dispatch:
The quality of the production process is backed by certifications from independent international organizations:
The activity of Maxiwatt has been supported by the Valencian public administrations:
In 2020, during the health crisis caused by COVID-19, Maxiwatt developed, together with the Hospital of Elche and Cobots Ingeniería, the first machine adaptable to any manual ambulatory ventilator/resuscitator. The company reached a production of 300 units per day and donated a total of 3,000 units during the lockdown.
This initiative was recognised with the Special Covid-19 Mention at the 2020 Alicante SME of the Year Award (4th edition), a prize jointly awarded by Banco Santander, the Alicante Chamber of Commerce, the Chamber of Spain and the newspaper INFORMACIÓN.
